Hi.

I’m a fan of Manhattan Art, Beauty, Fashion and Lifestyle! The best way to experience New York City that I've found is by word of mouth. Great ideas and inspiration often come from other people's thoughts and experiences.

Philosopher Jewelry Designer ReRe Rocks!

Philosopher Jewelry Designer ReRe Rocks!

It doesn’t happen often but, I have to admit, I have a bit of a girl-crush for designer ReRe Corcoran. Is it her cool style, jeans and leather, her golden locks? Or her knack for inspirational literary quotes which stirs both my inner rebel and poet?

“The eyes see all but the mind shows us what we want to see” ~ William Shakespeare

Literary hound that you all know I am, the latter is the reason but what can I say… wait, rewind, let me rephrase that. What I would like to say, gleefully from the top of the nearest hill, is, “I like what I see, ReRe!” I am jonesing for this dynamic, colorful jewelry collection— ReRe Jewelry.

What I love most about ReRe’s designs is that they are more than just pretty, though that is something they also are in abundance. ReRe’s designs are truly inspired. More than just baubles, her designs are poetry in gold.

ReRe finds her inspiration in real life and makes that passion come to life through the use of remarkable textures, intricate patterns and in beautiful rainbow style. Her jewelry designs are works of art motivated by authenticity, an intersection of character and culture reflective of both beauty and strength.

“Knowledge is power but enthusiasm pulls the switch.” ~ ReRe Corcoran

Ain’t that the truth! I’m not the only one to have fallen for this philosopher/designer’s work. Since launching her first collection, ReRe has developed quite a following (guess I’ll have to stand in line!) A niche-jeweler, ReRe’s unique and fresh designs are coveted finds among those ‘in the know’ in New York.

I’m always interested to learn about the evolution of an artist. So, here what I learned. Since ReRe’s days in college and in fashion, she built a reputation for having an eye for unique jewelry. She has always been attracted to progressive patterns and colors. What’s important to ReRe is that her collections have a universal appeal.

ReRe believes jewelry is an accessory, not a necessity. That it is decorative- to many, a token of love; to others, a coveted talisman. Each piece in ReRe’s collection symbolizes something special and unique.

“You don’t know what you are capable of until you put yourself in a position to do something you’ve never done before.” ~ David Cooke

While her collection grows, ReRe continues to focus on shape and form. Captivated by the dimension and depth of the hexagon, she reflects on the shape’s symbolism.

ReRe’s view is that, historically, the hexagon was thought to be one of the most sacred and powerful shapes. (Who knew?) In nature, it is considered the ultimate in perfection and function. The strength of the hexagon is found in its harmony, balance, and spirituality.

Fascinated by the hexagon’s ability to capture one’s personality, ReRe applied these details to her designs.

ReRe has designed three 18kt gold collections - all with her signature hexagon design. The Hex Collection signifies strength, individuality, and versatility. The Defi Collection utilizes the hexagon design in a dramatic way with floating elements. The Code Collection mixes ReRe’s signature design with 18kt gold and gemstone beads, creating intricate patterns.

ReRe’s pieces may be worn alone or together for a layered look, creating an individual style. But where can you buy ReRe’s latest collection? Only the insider’s know. But you can follow @rerecorcoranjewelry on Instagram where she will be announcing her official debut this Fall. I’m waiting with bated breath to get the details and promise to share all the details with my followers.
