Hi.

I’m a fan of Manhattan Art, Beauty, Fashion and Lifestyle! The best way to experience New York City that I've found is by word of mouth. Great ideas and inspiration often come from other people's thoughts and experiences.

Stacey Jones, Stylist to the Stars, TALKS: on Refreshing Routines

Stacey Jones is a fashion stylist who has worked with some of the biggest names in Hollywood. Her eye for fashion and creativity have graced the pages of countless editorials and advertising campaigns. We spoke with her to find out how she is handling this time of uncertainty in the creative industry.

What are you doing to stay creative during this time?

I am the type of person who stays busy, even on days off. And even though I am sheltering at home, there are online projects that I work on for As If magazine, where I am the Fashion Director, and I have a long To-Do list I keep chipping away at. Besides organizing and cleaning every closet, cabinet and drawer throughout, I managed to paint all the walls in my apartment! I find painting very therapeutic, and using this time to refresh was perfect. I am still working with the team at the magazine and we are discussing and planning shoots to be ready to go, once we are able to do so.

What projects do you hope to work on once this lifts?

I know we will have a celebrity cover shoot for the next issue that I look forward to working on. And pretty much anything else that allows me to work and collaborate with a team.

What’s been the most challenging part as a creative?

Not knowing when the lockdown will end has been hard. I’m also SO ready to travel to another country! I find travel to be very inspiring for my creativity.

What do you miss the most about the city and plan to do once this lifts?

Even though I am now a pro at Houseparty and have a virtual cocktail party every night, I would love to see my friends in the flesh. And I’d love to go to a restaurant. I enjoy cooking, but I’m getting tired of it every day.

How has your daily routine changed?

I have been getting tons of sleep! That’s not usually the case, so it’s a nice change. Otherwise, I get up in the morning, send emails and decide what project I will start or complete that day. I have kept a fairly normal routine, outside of not being on a physical shoot and not leaving my apartment for 2 months.
